Euclid board approves consent agenda, several vendor contracts and emergency boiler replacement

The board unanimously approved the meeting agenda and adopted minutes from the Aug. 13 and Aug. 27 meetings. The board also accepted recognitions for Shoreview Elementary and approved a personnel consent agenda covering certified and classified hires.
On procurement and partnerships, the board approved a series of recommendations from staff:
- A maintenance agreement with W W Williams for generator system upkeep (motion carried 5-0). - A contract with 1 Door Corporation to provide maintenance for fire doors at the secondary campus (motion carried 5-0). - A lease and managed print services agreement with Blue Technologies to modernize copy equipment; district staff said earlier negotiation saved approximately $50,000 by locking in price before upcoming tariffs (motion carried 5-0). - A staffing agreement with Soliant Health to supplement district personnel where needed (motion carried 5-0). - Purchase of ParentSquare’s Attendance Plus module to automate attendance notifications and reporting; staff said the platform will let families report absences and may reduce manual work for staff (motion carried 5-0). - A memorandum of understanding with More Counseling to provide substance-abuse-prevention education for freshman seminar and Saturday alternatives for certain suspensions, described by staff as meeting Ohio Revised Code prevention requirements (motion carried 5-0).
The board also approved title-service agreements listed in the consent items and routine business items (Nearpod, Flocabulary, transportation and related contracts) by voice/roll-call vote.
On facility emergency work, the board approved the urgent-necessity replacement of boilers at Indian Hills, citing failing equipment and the need for rapid repair; the board voted to authorize the emergency procurement under the district’s urgent-necessity process (motion carried 5-0).
