Board approves routine personnel, curriculum and vendor items; approves Benchmark contract and substitute pay bump

Among the approvals, the board voted to:
- Approve early graduation for a student under board policy (unanimous roll-call yes). - File the current gifted services plan for the year with the acknowledgement that the plan will be updated after forthcoming analysis. - Approve a contract with Benchmark Education for the presented curriculum through 2029 at a total cost shown in the agenda as $186,462.36, with roughly $80,000 of that amount described as reimbursed; the presenter said additional grade-level presentations (sixth and up) will be provided before further decisions. - Authorize resolution 25-008 for the required third-grade English language arts assessment in April (format authorization) and a motion (25-010) allowing certain schools to join the OHSAA for 2025–26 membership requirements as presented. - Approve a pay increase for substitute teachers, custodians, educational aides, secretaries, cooks, food-service workers and bus drivers retroactive to Feb. 15, 2025; the board said the increase is to maintain competitive rates with neighboring districts. - Approve personnel items including a certified personnel retirement (Dana Radomastique) and various certified and supplemental contracts and athletic-season supplemental and service contracts for spring 2024–25, contingent on requirements being met. - Approve multiple vendor contracts presented on the agenda, including PSI services tied to St. Joan of Arc funding (paid from St. Joan of Arc funds, not the district general fund), VIN Design Architecture for athletic facility master planning, and a contract for middle school programming with Ohio Mobile Game.
Votes were taken by roll call with affirmative votes recorded for the listed board members.
