Board approves personnel, policy and facilities items; moves into executive session
Summary

The Chagrin Falls Board of Education completed a series of routine approvals at its Dec. 10 meeting, approving personnel changes, policy updates and facility contracts before adjourning the public portion to an executive session on personnel and negotiations.
After adopting the meeting agenda and approving the Nov. 19 minutes, the board approved the consent agenda (items 5.01–5.09). Trustees then approved superintendent recommendations across several numbered items: policy revisions and rescissions (6.01); staff resignations (6.02); certified teacher contracts contingent on requirements (6.03 and 6.06); employment of Amy Pearson as student enrichment coordinator effective Jan. 20, 2026 (6.04) and up to 40 transitional hours between Dec. 11 and Jan. 19 (6.05); supplemental/co‑curricular contracts for 2025–26 (6.10); community education payments (6.11); spring athletic supplemental contracts (6.12); approval of substitute lists and classified substitutes (6.08, 6.09); volunteer approvals (6.13); and related payments and contracts.
The board approved TDA proposals for the 2026 paving program (6.14) and roofing services (6.15), authorized a wall study (6.16), and approved a lease amendment and agreement with Chagrin Valley Recreation Center (6.17); the superintendent said a facility improvement plan will be presented next month with further detail on summer work.
Under treasury recommendations, trustees approved resolution 2025‑27 (item 7.01) to participate in tax advances from Cuyahoga County so the district can receive tax collections earlier in the season.
Finally, the board moved into executive session under Ohio Revised Code 121.22 (as read at the meeting) to consider matters related to public employees and bargaining; no action was announced to follow the executive session.
