Superintendent praises student-athletes, previews AI training and new community support initiative

"The title of the activity was, Do you want an hour back in your day?" he said, describing teacher experimentation with prompts to speed lesson planning.
Mr. Fisher also announced the district's Red Ribbon Week drug-prevention activities and described a new online support program referenced in the transcript as "Community Bridal," which he said will let families post requests for clothing, shoes and other assistance. He said details will be shared on the district's social channels and that staff member Jenna would present more information at an upcoming meeting.
During public comment, resident Greg Harris thanked board members and volunteers for organizing a 'Trunk or Treat' event and encouraged continued community participation. "I just want to stop by and say thank you to all you guys for stopping by," he said.
On legislative matters, Mrs. McIntosh reported that House Bills 186 and 335 have passed the Ohio House and are being closely watched because they would limit property-tax revenue growth. "It seems that it's going to impact statewide, but it will also pack locally," she said; Mr. Fisher and other board members said the exact district impact remains uncertain and the board is monitoring developments.
The board was also reminded about upcoming events: the MPCTC regular board meeting on Nov. 14 and a public band performance; the next Carlisle Local Board meeting was set for Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m.
