The Bradford Exempted Village Board of Education opened its January organizational meeting and completed routine organizational business, including officer elections, meeting scheduling and several consent approvals.
Board members nominated and approved the slate of officers for 2025 and agreed to set regular meetings largely on the second Wednesday of each month (October to the third Wednesday), with an organizational meeting early in January at 6:30 p.m. Maria Bennett moved procedural items and the board recorded unanimous roll-call approvals for the agenda, minutes and the $6,000 Board service fund.
Carla, the district treasurer, reviewed standard duties and presented financial items on the consent calendar. The board approved delegation of routine treasurer authorities to the superintendent for the year and accepted appointments including the career/crew center representative for the coming term. "We have a motion to approve the items presented," the chair said before roll-call consent votes.
The meeting paused briefly to recognize students and families during a student-spotlight presentation before the board resumed regular business and adjourned the organizational portion to begin the regular meeting.
The board recorded formal roll-call results for the consent and organizational motions; the public portion adjourned prior to an executive session later in the evening.
