The Amanda-Clearcreek Local School District board approved Guaranteed Maximum Price No. 4 for district office and Room 100 renovations and received a detailed construction update from district staff.
District staff described the renovation scope as primarily entry/foyer work, new reception layout, signage and a door opening into an existing room to create a meeting space. The board reviewed drawings and visuals of the proposed reception configuration and wayfinding improvements.
On broader construction, a district administrator said precast planks are being installed on the athletic facility and that the K–2 opening into the existing building is scheduled to occur over the Christmas break when contractors will cut into the wall and install a temporary partition. Inside the K–2 corridor staff reported that ductwork, piping and HVAC components are being installed. Athletic storage final inspections are underway and staff expect keys and turnover in the coming days.
The board unanimously approved GMP No. 4 after discussion of scope and visuals and encouraged staff to provide additional drawings and screen visuals for members who wanted more context.
Next step: staff will continue final inspections and will coordinate additional visual materials on the renovation scope for board review.
