The South Country Central School District Board of Education moved into executive session at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 22 to discuss a personnel matter and to consult with counsel, the board chair said.
The chair announced at the start of the meeting that "All board members are present" and then stated, "The board will entertain a motion to enter into executive session for the purpose of, discussing a particular person, with regard to personnel, and to confer with counsel." Trustee Felice moved the motion and Trustee DeLillo seconded it; the chair called for those in favor and the board entered executive session.
The chair told attendees the board was expected to return to public session at 7:30 p.m. The transcript does not record a roll-call vote or a numerical tally in public minutes; the chair's call for "All in favor?" was followed immediately by the statement, "We're now in executive session."
