The Seaford Union Free School District board formally recognized Carmen Ouellette for her long service as district clerk and administrative assistant to the assistant superintendent for business and operations. The superintendent said Ouellette began in 1997 and described her as having "institutional knowledge that is just unmatched throughout the district." The superintendent said she will be partially retiring but will continue in the district clerk role in a reduced capacity.
"She's kind. She really does have immense institutional knowledge of this place," the Chair said, thanking Ouellette for her years of service.
The board also announced new staff hires. The superintendent introduced Danielle Rabecki, who will join the district as a special‑education teacher; the superintendent said Rabecki has 13 years of experience in the New York City school system, prior UPK experience and holds a Master of Science in Child Study from St. Joseph's College and a Master of Science in Early Childhood Special Education from Queens College.
Dr. Jacob introduced Mallory Brush as the new senior high school account clerk and introduced a Valerie (surname not given) as a part‑time clerk typist in the attendance office, describing prior experience working as a teacher assistant. The meeting did not include formal personnel votes in the public session; hires were announced by administrators.
