The superintendent reiterated a fiscally conservative budget approach focused on self-funding capital projects through reserves and thanked the business office for helping maintain solvency. He also announced a new district website, communication efforts via ParentSquare, and refreshed branding that emphasizes the district's slogan, "equity and excellence."
"We want to make sure that our schools are safe and that we're following all the regulations and protocols for safety," the superintendent said, noting the district's collaboration with law enforcement and other partners.
