The district scheduled a public budget hearing for May 12, 2025 and the budget vote and annual meeting for May 20, 2025.
Board members voted to accept retirements, to place an unspecified permanent noninstructional employee on paid administrative leave retroactive to April 4'16, and to approve an affiliation agreement with the State University of New York at Potsdam and a memorandum of agreement with the CSEA clerical unit. The board also approved retroactive pay of $5,206 to teacher Dixie Enos and set a new salary rate of $69,936 effective July 1, 2024; one member objected during that vote but the motion carried.
The board authorized renewal of participation in the Summer Food Service Program (June 30'Aug. 22, 2025) and approved a Rome Free Academy staff overnight field trip to Virginia and Washington, D.C., May 30'June 1, 2025 (coordinator: Amanda Benoit).
