"We're asking and authorizing $223,269 for district wide masonry work, particularly at Old Bay Old Bethpage Elementary," Doctor Dylan told the board, adding the repair reserve is used for unrecurring structural repairs to buildings.
Board member Gary questioned whether the district was taking money from the operating budget; Doctor Dylan said the reserve amount grew because of interest in the district's investment accounts and that the timing allowed the district to move forward with architects and engineers for repairs.
