Trustees asked for written ‘expectations’ (distinct from punitive requirements) and agreed to finalize committee rosters by Sept. 30; the superintendent requested permission to make Oct. 7 a voting meeting so committees can begin meeting in October without losing a month of work.
Several community members advised keeping expectations clear but not punitive; one public commenter recommended posting committee charges and meeting schedules publicly to help prospective members decide whether to commit.
The board did not adopt new rules at the meeting; members asked administrators to provide recommended language and an outreach/communication plan for committees ahead of the October work session.
