At its Sept. 16 meeting, the Patchogue‑Medford Board of Education approved the consent agenda and separately voted to appoint Teresa D’Aliva to the position of district clerk.
Doctor Cohen read the appointment resolution on the record: “Be it resolved that the Board of Education hereby appoints Teresa D’Aliva to the position of district clerk effective 09/30/2024 for completion of a 1 year term ending 06/30/2025 at the prorated salary of $85,000.” A trustee moved the resolution and another trustee seconded; the board carried the motion following a roll-call vote.
The meeting record shows the roll-call process for the consent agenda and the subsequent appointment vote; trustees answered in the affirmative when their names were called during the roll.
The board also noted that the newly appointed clerk will be sworn in by the district attorney and that a photo with the board would be taken following the vote.
