The Chair presented a new onboarding plan for incoming trustees — seven monthly sessions running roughly from May through November/December — covering topics from district goals and data to facilities, finance and evaluations, and said a Google-based assessment will be administered after the series to gather feedback.
After discussion the Chair moved approval. The board voted by voice and approved the onboarding plan. The board directed administration to publish the onboarding schedule and materials and to administer the assessment at the end of the series.
Separately, an administrator asked the board to approve two snow-day "give back" dates: Monday, April 28 (the day after spring break) and Friday, June 27 (graduation/rating day). The Chair called the motion; the board approved the two dates by voice vote and instructed administration to update the school calendar and notify families and staff.
Both items were approved during the meeting's recommended-actions portion and were recorded as carried by the Chair with voice votes.
