Board hears update on emergency A/C, 2022 CIP bids and proposed library levy increase

The business office said bids for parts of the CIP are scheduled to go out Jan. 8, return Feb. 5, and come to the board for approval Feb. 11.
A critical procedural date is Dec. 15: if the district submits the emergency A/C project documentation by that date, the district would receive approximately a half‑year of building aid spread over 15 years. The official also said the Honeyoye Library intends to increase its levy from $180,000 to $198,000 (a 10% increase), which will appear as a proposition on the ballot; the board was advised to account for that in budget planning.
The business official said the state audit team had been on site about four weeks and had requested three years of documentation; the office had not received a final focus area from the auditors.
