Board approves personnel appointments, donations and combined sports participation
Summary
At its Sept. 11 meeting the board approved multiple personnel appointments and volunteer/adviser recommendations, accepted monetary donations from the Hamilton PTO and Hamilton Sports Boosters, and approved a combined varsity girls ice hockey program with Clinton Central School (one tentative student).
The board moved through a series of routine personnel and program actions and approved them by voice vote.
Actions recorded included approval of advisers and volunteers for the 2025–26 fall play, multiple probationary and part-time appointments for teacher aides and food-service helpers (effective Sept. 12), certification of APPR lead teacher evaluators (Heather Thomas; Mark; Pat; Chris Rogers; Kevin Ellis), acceptance of monetary donations from the Hamilton PTO and Hamilton Sports Boosters and participation in a combined varsity girls ice hockey program with Clinton Central School for one tentative student.
Several motions reserved substantive discussion for executive session (personnel and committee-on-special-education matters) and were approved with the standard motion/second and voice vote procedure. The board also approved a motion to enter executive session following a 15-minute recess for a board photo and website/yearbook needs.
These routine approvals carry standard next steps: human-resources paperwork, contract and payroll processing where applicable, and inclusion of accepted donations in the district budget as recommended by the business manager and superintendent.
