Greenville Central School District honors newly tenured teachers, welcomes new staff

Superintendent Michael Bennett read the names of newly tenured teachers and recently hired faculty and staff at the Greenville Central School District Board of Education meeting on Sept. 15, asking those present to stand and be recognized.
"This is one of our brighter days, where we get to recognize those folks who have earned their tenure," Bennett said as he read a list that included Danielle Overlaw, Kelsey Brady, Elise Karuski, Monica Lundy, Jen Payne, Rachel Hall and others. He also introduced new hires and welcomed them to the district.
Resident Margaret Kelly used the public-comment period to praise the hires, saying she was "very pleased" to see so many Greenville-grown educators returning to teach in the district. The board, led by Chair Tracy, applauded the new and tenured staff.
The recognition was part of a broader opening-of-school set of reports given by district administrators, who also addressed enrollment, curriculum rollouts and operational updates.
