The board recognized multiple staff members for retirement and tenure and received a public comment highlighting the music program's accomplishments.
A board member read names and years of service for retirees and staff receiving tenure, thanking them for years of service and announcing a retirement celebration. The list included longtime classroom teachers and administrators; the board noted tenure awards and retiree celebrations would follow.
During public comment the music teacher presented statistics about the program's success: selections to area and all‑county ensembles, strong NISMA ratings and an All‑State vocalist selection. The speaker said the program had 21 instrumentalists in the district this year and that the district proportionally led the county for students selected to ensembles. The teacher asked for continued board support for the music program in the small district and displayed plaques and statistics to the board.
The board offered congratulations to retirees and those receiving tenure; no formal personnel actions were taken at the meeting beyond recognition.
