Fort Edward school board approves administrative designations for Dr. Kombrowski

The Fort Edward Union Free School District board voted to approve a batch of administrative designations assigning authority for items a through j to Dr. Kombrowski, the chair said.

The designation items were introduced as routine administrative appointments the chair intended to vote as a package. A board member asked, “I think this is something I wanna talk about in executive session a little bit more now,” prompting discussion about postponing the vote until later in the meeting; the chair agreed a postponement was acceptable.

A committee member noted that Dr. Kombrowski has already been performing the duties associated with the listed items in his role as principal but that board approval is required to formalize the permissions. “He’s he’s doing these things, but they need board approval,” the committee member said.

After the brief exchange and clarification that the designations can be reappointed at the reorganization meeting in July, the chair called the question. The board approved items a through j by voice vote; the transcript records at least two “aye” responses and the chair declared the motion carried.
