Board members were told the buses might be on-site as early as January and that the project also includes a rebate/tax benefit of roughly $40,000 that could be used for instructional purposes.
Board members flagged lead time and delivery uncertainty as concerns but expressed optimism about securing new electric buses without local capital purchase. Administration said it will report back once the funding flow and vendor arrangements are clarified.
