A finance staff member clarified how the state counts summer FTEs for revenue: district summer enrollment is multiplied by 0.4 for state aid purposes, which yields about 33 counted FTEs for this summer and an estimated $375,000 increase in the district’s revenue limit.
Board members discussed program growth, staffing (46 staff supporting summer programs with 21 new staff), and program variety — from remediation to enrichment like band camp and career clinics. Administrators and committee members noted that summer programs also provide employment opportunities for hourly staff.
The board approved proposed 2025 summer-school dates (camp first week June 9–13; session periods through July) on a motion by Sarah Ramish and second by Adam; the motion carried 6–0. Administrators said they will begin planning and soliciting ideas for additional classes and will announce offerings in December.
