Kohler board approves minutes and donations, decides not to change meeting night

The Kohler School District board approved its consent agenda on Nov. 12, voting to accept the Oct. 28 annual and regular meeting minutes and invoices. A board member noted a check on the invoice list reimbursed them for a PD lunch and recused themselves from that vote; otherwise the motion carried by voice vote.
Under discussion the board considered changing its regular meeting night from the second Wednesday to another weeknight. Several members said Mondays would be preferable for scheduling, while others said the second Wednesday remains workable; after hearing availability constraints the board decided to leave the schedule as-is for now.
The board also acknowledged and accepted a slate of community donations, including $700 from Fortress Floors (football), $700 from Wolf Enterprises (boys basketball), $10,400 from an anonymous donor to support a new Young Women's Leadership Club, $2,320 from Daniel Wolf for the golf team, $5,000 from Kohler School Friends to support district busing, smaller club gifts and $1,000 from Megan Belcher for the Science Olympiad team. The board approved acceptance of the donations by voice vote.
Other routine reports included Buildings & Grounds approval of a Nov. 26 plan and anticipated bathroom projects, HR committee plans for a January staff survey, and a finance update noting an upcoming district audit due to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction by Dec. 15. The meeting adjourned after acceptance of the business on the agenda.
