Emmett said staff felt participation exceeded initial expectations and that, assuming federal funding and allowable costs continue, the district anticipates expanding the effort next year. Staff noted federal funds as the funding source for the program in the meeting.
The finance committee described next steps for budget development and said continued work will occur in committee; the formal board vote to approve the 2025–26 budget and tax levy will follow the annual meeting in October.
