Board approves curriculum purchase, multiple contracts and technology upgrades

On technology and infrastructure, the board authorized issuing an RFP for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for network closets, approved a $76,522.86 purchase of 75 replacement laptops and 30 docking stations from Dell, and approved Frontline Technologies licensing for asset management and help‑desk services at $10,696.89. Board members said maintaining a regular replacement cycle and protecting network equipment were the primary reasons for the purchases.
The board also approved multiple facilities and maintenance contracts — turf management ($61,448.84), window installation at a woodshop ($8,566), carpeting and gym floor/stage refinishing projects totaling $27,487.30, and custodial equipment/supplies for $21,599.42 — all from the district’s major maintenance or general funds as indicated in the agenda.
All motions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; where dollar amounts were presented on the record administration clarified funding sources (general fund, major maintenance, technology funds) as appropriate. The board recorded the acceptance of a WDE mental‑health grant earlier in the meeting (administration indicated an expected $97,000 in year one for the district, though second‑year funding is uncertain).
