Stallings also told members the Flemington concession-stand work is underway, that responses to outstanding questions from the contractor were attached to the meeting packet, and that coordination with health and fire officials will continue as staff obtain outstanding details.
At West Taylor, facilities staff described a plan to convert a small grassy area near the main loop into roughly 8–10 parking spaces with a connecting sidewalk. Staff said an engineer recommended the location near the building because other options had runoff and structural constraints; board members raised concerns about the visual impact and bus operations during drop-off and pickup. Staff confirmed the parking work is slated for completion over the summer so it will not interfere with the school year.
