At the June 9 meeting of the Pendleton County Board of Education, Nicole Marie Habener was administered the oath of office.
During the ceremony she stated her name and swore "that I will support the Constitution of The United States, that I will support the constitution of the state of West Virginia ... and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the superintendent ... to the best of my skill and judgment." Several members offered congratulations following the oath.
The oath was administered during the meeting after the board completed finance business; the board then announced its next meeting and adjourned.
