Doctor Miller announced retirements and new hires, saying, “I'd like to congratulate Tracy Som who is retiring from a position as a 200 day art teacher assigned to Middle Creek Elementary School effective December 25.” Miller also presented other items including the recommendation of Samantha Miles for a 200-day countywide special education teacher assigned to Elm Grove Elementary School, an upgrade in degree status for Bailey Gettings, and the recommendation of Dominic Prager as a 200-day child-nutrition light-truck driver assigned to Wheeling Park High School. Miller listed additional paraprofessional recommendations including Kimberly Phillips (Bridge Street Middle School) and Tanya Edge (Tridelphia Middle School), and noted Kathleen Stefano’s retirement after about 20 years at Steenrod Elementary School.
Chair moved to accept the personnel as presented; Molly moved and Anne seconded the motion. Hearing no further discussion, the board voted and the motion passed unanimously.
The board did not record any votes against the personnel slate. Doctor Miller presented the items as part of the regular personnel report and members agreed to accept the recommendations as presented.
