The Gilmer County Board of Education voted to accept a recommendation to award the district’s 2025‑26 milk contract to United Dairy Incorporated for $237,811.
Superintendent Doctor Minnie said bids were solicited from United Dairy, Gallacher Dairy Company, Potomac Farms Dairy and Broughton Foods; United Dairy was the only company to submit a bid. ‘‘United Dairy was the only bid Gilmer County Schools received,’’ Doctor Minnie said when presenting the recommendation.
Board members moved and seconded the superintendent’s recommendation; the motion passed by voice vote.
