District maintenance report details leaks, camera outages and ongoing ESG lighting work

Security and cameras: Board members raised concerns that several security cameras in common areas have been out since Nov. 13. Staff said some cameras are tied to fixed network addresses and may need replacement rather than repositioning; administrators said they will follow up with the vendor and provide a written report on camera status and structural makeup of affected roofs if needed.
ESG energy-efficiency work: Staff reported ESG contractors have completed LED retrofits at East Ardy Elementary and started work at East Hardy High School; the district also hosted water-conservation and building-envelope vendors and solar engineers on-site to coordinate work and accelerate schedules.
Other facility needs: Josh discussed elevator upgrades, auxiliary-gym flooring and HVAC considerations (including potential integration of remaining funds to expand cooling/heating improvements into classroom spaces) and said the district has pursued SBA or grant funding to offset several projects; decisions are pending as funding applications and quotes are finalized.
What the board asked staff to do: Board members requested a written structural/materials report from roofing contractors where leaks were identified, follow-up on camera-repair timelines and a status report on SBA funding applications and schedule impact.
Next steps: Staff will return with cost estimates and written vendor reports; administrators will share updates at the next meeting or earlier if needed.
