District outlines reunification plan using Kenosha County Center; MOU in place, no rental cost reported

"Our rally point, after the evacuation, the rally point is the Kenosha County Fairgrounds," the presenter said, describing bus routes, entrance and parking patterns, indoor staging areas with restrooms and food, and protocols for identifying and handing students to verified adults. Staff said they have worked with Dousman Transportation and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office and that the county center can accommodate large numbers; no rental cost was reported and the parties expect a memorandum of understanding to govern use.
Board members discussed capacity concerns if multiple area schools required relocation simultaneously and asked about alternate sites and parking. Staff said county officials are encouraging multiple districts to adopt the standard model and that additional staffing and volunteer coordination would be part of planned employee training. No action was required; staff will brief employees and incorporate the plan into staff training at the start of the school year.
