"I don't wanna be morbid…when they're needed, it's because somebody has planned out something," said one member (S3), urging the board to favor a full‑time position rather than a part‑time, shared arrangement. Other members noted the village's expanded service area and the potential for shared summer or non‑school‑session duties to reduce cost.
The board did not authorize a new position at this meeting. Instead, it directed staff to gather information on costs, shared‑service models and scheduling options and to return with recommendations for a future meeting.
