At its regular meeting, the Two Rivers school board approved multiple fiscal and policy items and accepted community donations before adjourning into closed session.
Financial approvals included payment on the May 2024 general bills in the amount of $1,245,021.17, followed by approval of two sets of May 2024 referendum bills (part 1: $2,152,073.73; part 2: $322,951.93). The board also approved the district’s April financial statements. Each payment motion was moved, seconded and carried by voice votes recorded in the minutes.
On old business the board gave second reading approval to two district policies: policy 2340 (district-sponsored trips) and policy 2430 (district-sponsored clubs and activities). Chair called for the motion, and both policy updates were approved by voice vote.
The board accepted three community donations: $250 from the Nashoda Charitable Foundation to the Angel Fund/summer meal program; $100 from Marin Slickman to the Angel Fund; and $160 from the Ladies of Saint Peter (community card group) earmarked for lunch balances or the Angel Fund. The motion to accept those donations carried.
Finally, the board voted to convene in closed session under Wisconsin statute 19.85(1)(c) to discuss employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluations. A roll-call vote was recorded; the motion carried.
