The Two Rivers board accepted a teacher resignation, approved three new teaching contracts and confirmed an IT director candidate during Monday’s meeting.
The board voted to accept the resignation of Stacy Smogoleski, a third-grade teacher at McGee. Chair called for a motion and the board carried the acceptance by voice vote.
On hiring, the board introduced and approved an IT director candidate listed on the agenda as Ray Clonnell (records show an inconsistent rendering of the last name in the transcript). Ray addressed the board, noting community ties and immediate availability: “Being a graduate of True Rivers now, class of ’04 … I’m always available,” he said. The board approved the contract on a roll-call vote and the start date was set for June 17.
The board also approved a sixth-grade contract for Laura (presented as 'Lauren' in parts of the discussion) Dewey and a third-grade contract for Risa (Raisa) Miller; administrators described both as strong fits based on student-teaching placements and references. Motions to approve both contracts passed by roll call.
Board members thanked administrators for recruiting and welcomed the new staff. No salaries or contract terms beyond start dates were discussed on the record at the meeting.
