District readies solar contract and reviews $212,799 surveillance statement of work

"We have the final contract from Northland Solar," Ryan, an administrator, said, and the district plans to set a follow-up meeting that will include the Hoffman partners to pursue potential grant opportunities.
Ryan also presented a statement of work from Heartland Business Systems for campus video surveillance, citing a figure of $212,799. "I have a statement of work from Heartland Business Systems on our Mercado video surveillance, that is gonna come in at, $212,799," Ryan said. He added that some wiring and other line items were removed from the bid, making the current figure slightly lower than an earlier estimate.
Board members discussed related contingency and interest funding and a Performance Services representative offered a free facility condition assessment to inform long-range planning. Administrators said they are still awaiting a few additional quotes (for example, elementary library painting) and will return with follow-up information prior to final procurement decisions.
