District begins Nexus facilities outreach; community meeting scheduled

Administration said the district mailed preliminary letters and surveys to households in the district but that some residents reported delivery lags. Paper copies and extra survey codes are available in district offices for residents who have not received mailed surveys. "Our update from School Perceptions is that we've had a heavy turnout of surveys received already by staff and people with students in the district, but we haven't gotten the paper copies back," the administrator said.
A community meeting was scheduled for the next evening to review the survey, explain operational versus capital budgeting and gather resident priorities. The facilities committee will reconvene (tentatively Nov. 13) to review survey results and consider recommendations to the board; School Perceptions will deliver a results report to the committee.
Administration emphasized that the survey and meetings are information-gathering steps and do not constitute a decision to seek a referendum or take specific action; they are intended to inform any future recommendations.
