Board approves staffing hires and program extension; superintendent reports interventions staffed

The superintendent then described an urgent classified hire for a special bus that serves students who require assistance; the previous employee did not return from leave and the district hired a replacement to ensure those students receive transport services.

On programming, the superintendent presented a two‑year extension of a county contract (referred to in the transcript as an extension for 'Maya') to continue work on closing the achievement gap. The superintendent said "the total amount of $6.42 is not what we received, but it's the total amendment, and then we would get a separate contract later."
