Warrensville Heights board honors Ray Freeman and seventh-grade volleyball champions

The Warrensville Heights City Board of Education recognized board member Ray Freeman Friday for receiving an All-Ohio award from the Ohio School Boards Association and celebrated the middle school's seventh-grade volleyball team for winning the junior LEL championship.
Reno Catapelle of the Ohio School Boards Association told the board, "your school board here at Warrensville is probably one of the most respected school boards that are out there," and described the All-Ohio honor as a selective award given to only a handful of board members statewide. Chair (speaker 4) and colleagues applauded Freeman's recognition.
The district's athletic director introduced Coach McFarland, who thanked the players and named several team members, and noted the district will provide championship apparel and photos. Board members and administrators commended the team and coach for the season and urged continued community support for girls' athletics.
The recognitions were followed immediately by the meeting's regular business items.
