"So the first day for teachers is the August 12," Preston said, explaining staff and parent versions of the calendar and offering to distribute both views to board members.
Trustees asked clarifying questions, including the timing of teacher workdays relative to last year; Preston said administrators and the teachersassociation collaborated on the draft and that the district is not seeking approval tonight. The plan will be posted for a 30-day comment period; staff will return in January with a recommendation for adoption.
The board did not take action on the calendar or the online learning plan during the Dec. 8 meeting.
