Kathleen Beyer used the public participation segment of the Jan. 13 board meeting to raise multiple allegations about prior interactions with district staff and board associates.
Beyer told the board that after a prior meeting several women associated with the district accosted her and later, she said, those same women conspired with the superintendent to make false police reports accusing her of attempting to hit them with her car. She told trustees she was later banned from board meetings for six months and said that prohibition ‘‘has no authority’’ because the board did not vote to ban her. Beyer also said police threatened her with arrest and that she was not trespassed from the property.
She alleged violations of her constitutional rights and the Open Meetings Act and said she will pursue legal action in the coming weeks; she also said she has written a book about the incidents. The board did not take action in response during the meeting; the public-comment segment concluded and the board moved to adjourn.
