Riverview SD policy committee moves to retire tuition policy, aligns reimbursements with federal rates and tables volunteer changes

Riverview SD’s policy committee met Sept. 10 to begin a systematic review of the district’s 600-series policies and related PNN legal updates, moving several technical and procedural changes toward formal consideration in October.

The committee’s chair opened the meeting saying the committee would review policies 601–626 and noted administration and legal staff had worked through the policies for finance- and operations-related items. The chair recommended changing every instance of the title "business manager" to "director of finance and operations," a non-substantive wording update that the committee agreed to proceed with.

Why it matters: the wording change updates job-title references across several policies so future readers and administrators see consistent titles and reduces the need for repeated redlines when staffing titles change.
