Northern Cambria board hears facilities update: dust collector resolved, underground tank removed, construction funding improving

Administrators also reported that an underground storage tank has been removed and soil testing found no need for remediation, eliminating what had been a potentially expensive cleanup. One board member thanked staff for handling the tank removal and testing.
On district construction finances, Brandon said the district currently has about $1.6 million on hand (before bills and payroll) and expects another $1.4–1.5 million by Dec. 1; one retainage payment to A. Burry is still outstanding (about $450,000). Board members asked for a budget-status update at the next meeting.
Separately, members discussed pool certification steps and asked the administration to prepare cost estimates and certification timelines for a future meeting. No formal budget transfers or authorizations were recorded during the update.
