The board reviewed staffing updates: history teacher Joseph Beck submitted a resignation but will continue through the end of the school year, Karen Hetrick's retirement was accepted, and multiple vacancies were advertised with interviews scheduled in mid‑June. David said the district received 38 applicants for one elementary teaching post and will interview finalists and bring hiring recommendations to the June 20 meeting.
On transportation, the board will remove Jen Barber from Barber Busing because she is no longer a driver and will advertise to fill Route 4 after longtime driver Marsha Pollock retired; David said some local contractors lack drivers despite having buses. Other consent items included substitute teacher assignments, an unpaid leave request and parent volunteers for PTO and cheer programs.
No formal votes were recorded in the workshop transcript; the presiding member said several items will be presented for action at the next meeting.
