District seeks transportation contractor confirmation and expert review of football field condition

On athletics facilities, Chair David said the district has been in contact with its insurance carrier and is seeking an external expert to inspect the football field and determine whether it is safe and usable for home games. He said the district has not yet found an expert willing to make that determination and work is ongoing to secure either an inspection or alternative arrangements so the district can host home games in the 2024 season.
No formal contract award or field certification decision was made during the workshop; staff reported they will continue follow-up and present any recommended actions at the July 15 voting meeting if needed.
