The Allegheny‑Clarion Valley School District board held its reorganizational meeting Monday and reappointed its current leadership, confirmed committee assignments and approved a two‑meeting monthly schedule.
Board members voted to keep Kelly as board president after a brief discussion about the time commitment of the role; several members voiced hesitations about taking on the position but ultimately supported the motion. The board also approved the vice president and reappointed Patty Anderson as treasurer. Sarah Patton was identified as the district secretary with a term expiring July 1, 2029.
The board set committee rosters for the coming year. Jeff Powell and Brady were named career‑center representatives (with Diane Page as alternate); Diane, Jeff and Eric will remain on the technology committee; Carrie and Brady will continue on the athletic committee with additional members added; and Patty, Brady and Jeff will serve on the finance committee with Aaron added following the removal of Andrea Stewart from the list.
Members discussed two scheduling options for regular business and workshops and voted to adopt “Schedule B,” which keeps a virtual workshop the week before each voting meeting. The board noted minor date changes for May and June to allow extra time for budget work and submissions required ahead of state deadlines.
The reorganizational session adjourned and the board proceeded directly into its regular meeting.
