Commander Justin Glantz: Frederick Police launches anonymous My 90 feedback surveys

Commander Justin Glantz of the Frederick Police Department said the department has partnered with My 90 to collect confidential feedback from members of the community who are contacted by officers.

Glantz said the surveys are designed to "gain insight into the overall performance of the department and show any concerns surrounding safety and security." He described My 90 as "an engagement tool used for organizational learning and enhancing service to our community."

According to Glantz, after an officer completes a contact, the person contacted "receives a message requesting confidential feedback about their interaction." He listed sample questions the surveys will ask: "Do you feel you were treated with respect?" "Did you feel like you were listened to?" and "What is your top safety concern?"

Glantz stressed that "My 90 collects the data anonymously and shares it with the police department," and that community members "cannot be identified through this data" and the process "does not create formal complaints or accommodations against an officer." He said the department will share aggregated feedback on social media as part of a campaign it has "coined Your Voice, Our Commitment."
