The Warren County Public Safety & Emergency Services Committee voted to return a home-rule request that would accept state legislation transferring certain state property in the Town of Queensbury to Warren County.
The request had been reviewed earlier and, according to a committee presenter, required only minor language revisions following discussions between the county attorney's office and the senator's office. "Nothing has changed with our request. We still want to acquire this property," the presenter said. The chair called for the motion; the committee moved, seconded and approved the item by voice vote. The transcript records 'Aye' but does not provide a roll-call tally.
The committee did not discuss substantive changes to the request during the meeting. The item will move on to the full board with the revisions noted by the county's presenter.
