The motion to move the awards forward was made by Supervisor Runyon and seconded by Supervisor Turner; the committee approved the resolution by voice vote after staff said members had met with each applicant and discussed the proposed awards. Chair called for any recusals; a member named Josh said he was under the impression he did not need to recuse himself, and the committee proceeded.
Heather, the tourism/staff presenter, told the committee that staff had met with each applicant and reviewed project proposals. Committee members expressed support for several awards and asked staff to prepare the formal resolution to be placed on the next meeting agenda so the county can finalize payments.
The vote to approve the awards was recorded by voice; staff will circulate the resolution language and next steps for processing the recommended grants.
The committee also approved routine minutes and adjourned; staff noted follow-up steps for disbursing funds and preparing any required award documentation.
