Ogden Community Schools board honors student athletes and academic All‑State honorees

The Ogden Community Schools Board of Education opened its meeting by recognizing students who competed at the state track meet and named academic All‑State honorees.

A district presenter (S1) listed individual and relay results, saying the boys 4x800 relay (Brady Van Sickle, Jude Benbow, Sage Seager and Carson Van Sickle) broke a school record that had stood since 1974 and that the distance medley team set a new school record and finished fourth — the highest relay finish in program history. “We brought home a state championship in the 800 meter run,” S1 said, drawing praise from the board.
