The Ogden Comm School District board approved a five-year beverage and concessions contract with Pepsi after administration recommended the vendor based on guaranteed revenue and rebate terms.
Administration said the Pepsi proposal includes a guaranteed $2,000 per year and a $2-per-case rebate on sales; Doctor Pepper provided less favorable rebate terms and Coca-Cola offered no guaranteed money. “They like the fact that there is that guaranteed money with Pepsi,” the superintendent explained during the presentation of options.
The recommended contract term discussed in the meeting was five years or 4,500 cases, whichever comes first; the administration told the board the agreement also provides for new equipment and consolidated servicing of machines across district buildings.
Board member (speaker 3) moved to approve the five-year contract; the motion was seconded and the board approved it by roll call. The district will proceed with contract execution and vendor onboarding as described in the contract recommendation.
Details about the vendor agreement, including exact delivery and equipment replacement timelines and any service-level commitments, will be finalized by district staff and included in the executed contract.
