Administration said the Rochester Responsible Use technology policy had undergone a substantial revision and now contains a new section addressing artificial intelligence; administrators explained the AI portion will require iterative updates as guidance and tools evolve. The superintendent said legal counsel will review the policy before the board considers adoption.
Finally, the board reviewed a preliminary calendar for the 2025–26 school year showing start and end dates and major breaks. Administrators noted teachers and staff had been deeply involved in calendar planning and said a second reading would follow.
All items were presented for first reading only; no adoption votes occurred at the meeting.
